Do things I never did before like washing my clothes, hanging them one by one with clippers, and iron them once a week. Alot of house chores to do but eventually I'm getting used to all of these. I gonna say this, I love my housemates. They are cool, easy going and cute in a way they call names like the fat calling the fat fatty. Too bad, I spent most of my time with studies than with these guys. All because of...</span>

<br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">School life! I'm glad I still can be a student. Almost everyday, 10-15 mins morning walk from my apartment to campus. I personally enjoy the walk very much with my earphone on, it makes me feel energetic. I almost forget the long walk while humming the song and seeing different faces passing through... Food at campus sucks. End of food story. One thing I like about my campus among all the facilities is the classroom. Although lots of people complain about it, Ken Yeang design failure...bla bla bla etc... I still like the classroom. Toilet is intact with almost every classroom. We can use the studio with aircon on 24/7, and working space is sufficient for large scale project. Another thing I like about the campus is library. Student can borrow up to 5 books at a time. Unlike my precious blood sucking college, Equator ahem ahem of art...None of the book we can borrow and if we need it, only solution is to make copy with the photostate machine provided and we even need to pay for it!</span>

<br />As expected, the culture of architecture...Sleepless night throughout weeks and metaphorically explained as like empty a jar filled with water by pouring all into a glass.I wish I have 48 hours a day, or I should say no time limitation, so that I will have sufficient time to work on the idea. Well, maybe weekend when rushing for final model making, I see sunrise and sunset twice in day? Wasn't it happen in 24 hours? Illusion it is. "Work hard but work smart", become famous quote of the year of mine. This applied to the future too! Seriously! to get efficient, sometimes we really need to find the shortcut to speed up our work. Looking into my life as an architecture student, Ludwig van Beethoven stumbled my mind. In the biography movie of him, I remember how he baths with just a bucket of water. I used to enjoy my bath time. The time precious when you are not wearing anything and water showering upon naked body. The water flow freely from your head to toe with the guidance of body curves and...STOPPED! Today, bathing is just merely wetting my body like what Beethoven did always. Other than bath, is the bed. I used to tell everyone, if after I bath more than 3 hours, I dare not sleep on my bed. Reason is the bed, yes the fluffy bubbly bed, is the place where people spend most of the time in a day! So it has to be clean, super clean. But now, I spend most of my time either in studio or on my desk. Architecture student, you know I know...

My grandpa was the head of the family. After he passed away, things not going well and my grandma's turn to be the head of the family. Still, things didn't turn well because my grandma was a disabled and she couldn't make any decision and just 2 weeks before CNY, she passed away. So the family's mace had to pass to someone. My dad being the eldest, he supossed to take up the responsibility but due to his overwhelmed problem from the company and his health, he is basically a disabled. Turned out we are a democratic family. Everyone voice out creating chaos.<br /><br />This year CNY is a sad one. It is so different from my past 21 years except my mom's side, we celebrate as usual with my grandpa. Other than that, I was being together with Ciern and bunch of church member throughout the week. On the reunion day, I had <a href="http://loverslovinglove.blogspot.com/">reunion lunch with Ciern's family</a>. The food was too much but they were deeliiiciious...yuMMY! We visited some of our church eldery and also hang out with my ex collegemate and lecturer. From my precious post, Vivian was one of them. She's cute isnt't it? We played poker alot. But Bluff card game was my all time favourite(because I only how to play bluff...hehe). When we were at Yong kang's house, we met a new friend, Rex, the handsome Siberian Husky. of Abandoned Railway StationThis place is the place I wanted to go for a long time ago. Thanks to google earth, wikimapia and GPS system, without technology nowaday, I wouldn't able to make it there. Yong ern and Ciern be my object on that day. They are just too lucky to have these photo I took and editted!<br /><br />The station is awesome. It is actually not fully abandoned, some part of the station is used for train service platform. The left over trains and track giving a vintage feel for every photo taken. Plenty of opening around the station building gives natural lights as it is a advantages for because I forgot to bring my flash batteries! I used my built in flash as well. Meanwhile, Satan intruded my authority. My negative thoughts formed. Things popped in my mind, things like how my dad wanted me to enroll mysef in architecture but the day before, I was about to find a college for the course I was interested at the time. Evil voice keep whispered to me, I shouldn't have to do all these. My anger grew as I felt I was actually wasting my time. What happen to my "Think Thrice but not Twice" quote I always encourage myself everytime I make a decision? Looking at myself compared to my 4 siblings still studying, my elder sister who is doing her Food science, my younger sister who is studying law at Kemayan ATC, and my 2 lil bro and sis still schooling. I felt I have nothing. Only chaos happened. I started to lost my endurance for everything. Whoever step on my tail, die flat on the ground.<br /><br />It seemed I have turned into a beast. But no one knows during the midnight, I cried awefully. Sleepless nights haunt. Fear intrudes my life.<br /><br />Everything has to stop before I do soemthing wrong. Look into the problem closely and not trying to blame whoever get me into this piece of shit. I see myself gave up on architecture. Like what after SPM, choosing a new course. Maybe graphic design(with integration of photography) and event planner. Design is always my forte. I feel better then. Architecture? I told God in prayer, It seems He doesn't like me to further my studies. How to start again? I don't know. Since then, all I know is I'm going to have plenty of time to spend. First time I feel so want to be commited in God's work. And eventually I joined my church saturday children fellowship or better known as KFC, as a teacher helping out.<br /><br />Things planned. I feel much better for having a life now. Even people finding faults on me, I shoo-ed them off easily. Days ago, I accompanied Dan to ask for college. And myself too wanted to ask for graphic and multimedia course with my Architecture Diploma. I know they are 2 different thing but I just want to do design. Architecture again? Further studies to overseas just hopeless.<br /><br />And here God started to guide me with the wide open path. On the second day of meeting up the Australia Uni representatives,it was 1:30 pm, I was so lazy to wake up. But I still wake up, get myself prepared. In my mind, talking about further studies made me feel consoled. In reality, the thought of further studies remained a dream. Not anymore. Danny was asking for registration in Taylors counsel centre. They actually offer Bachelor of Science( Architecture) started this year. I didn't hope much but I asked if they can help me to apply architecture degree using my Equator diploma.<br /><br />OMG!!! I got a place in Taylors. I even get a year exemption. Only 2 study years to earn a degree! Course fee? Much cheaper compare to do it in Aussie. I'm a happy man now. I feel revived. Rejuvenated! Full of hope given by God. It's like Taylors started the degree just for me!<br />Now only permission is from my parents. In year 2009, people start talking about the economy crisis. We know this year is going to be a really bad year although Malaysia is still holding it pretty well at the beginning. Shopping complex in Penang seems booming, we have the Gurney New Wing, Times Square which is expected to open soon, Di Piazza Lifestyle mall at Bayan Baru, and the building next to Prangin Mall, I'm not sure what does it called but I'm sure it's another complex. Petrol price decreased to RM1.80, give us another extra miles to go. People still enjoy shopping, buying new cars, enjoying expensive hobby like what I saw the other day, a guy who actually bought A Canon EOS 5D MII with a 24-105mm F4l kitlens, a lowepro backpack, a 48litre drybox and some accessories, all these easily hit the 10K figure.<br /><br />Why is it so? But other country they are emphasizing the level of debt in the UK is "disturbing," but given the severity of the economic downturn, more government borrowing was the lesser of two evils, Dominique Strauss-Kahn said in an interview to the BBC.<br /><br />What I had done in the previous year that just ended? I helped my dad in his business but it is sad enough to say I was not able to help much. What is done had been done. When to came to the end of it, I only pray that situation will get better. The only thing that makes me felt proud of myself is my passion on photography. I do learned alot in photography, from the theory of photography to practice of photoshooting, from the raw image to the stage of rectify and beautify, most precious lesson yet a self taught one. The bad side of me, I'd been lazy. I sleep like nobody cares. I have excuses for that actually, I'm not employed and I'm not a student in year 08. Good thing is, I trust God more and more for about things He planned for me. I'm officially baptised. Although my family condition seems not getting any better, I'm glad my parents accepted Christ. Believe, faith and hope are the key of life. Life is not easy but with the strength of God, impossible is nothing.<br /><br />So, what is my plan for the new year? The famous quote says: "If you failed to plan. you are planning to fail." I'm gonna list out my new year resolution as a target and hit it. I know myself well, without clear goal, it's just merely a fantasy dream. But if goals are set, passion is activated, I'll be motivated to reach the goal. Below is the list of my 2009 Resolutions:<br /><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">1. Be a teacher in KFC fellowship of my church. Fulltime.</span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">2. Studies. Hopefully Taylor's managed to help me get into Degree courses using my Equator Diploma.</span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">3. Establish my plan on opening an unique restaurant to help my family income.</span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">4. Be a good photographer with strong artistic foundation, knowledge and wisdom.</span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">5. Planning to buy a Wacom tablet. Another self taught subject I'm going to enroll myself.</span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">6. Be a better boyfriend. I've been a good one previous year. *Pat self* =D</span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">7. Get healthy. Systematic lifestyle and exercise. (Perhaps build up some hard flesh?ahahaha...)</span><br /><br />7 resolutions! The perfect number. These photos were taken by my previous dslr 450D.<br /><br />Since I learned how to edit raw file, I quit using jpeg, the only time I save in small/medium size jpeg is for reference. The noise issue and jpeg format somehow made me give up on editting this set.<br /><br />But I was wrong. The exposure was nicely done, the colour ambient is nice too! So I took some time study how to reduce noise and Chromatic Aberrations in jpeg format. Some tweak and twist to beautify the image and the outcome do satisfy me. It was quite a dilemma to get a phone at the time. I don't fancy phone. Don't even think it is worth to spend so much on a phone because the market price of mobile phone will drop so crazily. No market value at all. It's a suprise for me when I spotted this glamour phone.<br /><br />Here's how I'm happy with my new phone.<br /><br /><b>Design - Impressive</b><br /><br />The Nokia N78 is a standard-looking candybar phone. It's a nearly featureless black slab while asleep, and when it wakes up buttons illuminate the face in a standard 12-key layout, with some added buttons down the side of the bar. The keypad is small which suits my small finger I have. Navi-wheel, the four-way button in the center of the phone is also touch sensitive, so it acts as a scroll wheel, and I found it not very responsive and useful in getting around the S60 interface.<br /><br />The black glossy surface is bad more sweaty hand like me. It's finger print magnet. But I just love the design so much! One cool feature called breathing makes the navi wheel light fade on and off as if the device is breathing while in Power Saver mode so you can tell the phone is really breathing! When I have unread messages or miss call, the illuminate light shows it breaths quicker.<br /><br />This is my 1st symbian phone but I heard it hasn't seen much of an improvement for the Nokia N78. Overall, the phone felt very responsive. The usual Symbian problems apply, so when apps stacked up I felt the phone ran slower, but it was easy to close apps running in the background using the dedicated Application key. Nokia has again experimented with a media browser window, accessible by the silver media key near the scroll wheel.<br /><br /><b>Calling - Very good</b><br /><br />Very good. Especially the speaker phone. I girlfriend never know that I'm using the speaker while talking to her compared to my previous Sony Ericsson phone, she always sensed it if I use the speaker handsfree. The bundled earphone somehow let me down. The quality is good for music but it failed when it is being used for handsfree.<br /><br /><b>Messaging - Good</b><br /><br />For messaging, the smartphone offered some surprises. Of course, the phone supports SMS and a range of MMS options. E-mail was surprising easy, and we were delighted when the N78 asked if we wanted to set up yahoomail, after I installed hotmail messenger, my hotmail was installed automatically into my message feature. Setup was fully automated, and worked very well.<br />The phone did a fine job with T9 intuitive typing, although some people which big thumb complain that the keppad was too cramped but for me it is not a problem at all.<br /><br /><b>Multimedia - Very good</b><br /><br />Though it lacks the advanced 3G services for Digi, the Nokia N78 does a great job playing music and video. The music player is especially impressive. Browsing our playlists was fun and easy with the scroll wheel. The navi-wheel was almost as responsive as an iPod scroll wheel, with the requisite acceleration as I moved our thumb faster around the center. I also found some useful feature of the extra music player features, including equalizers, easy playlist creation and snazzy visualizers. Best of all, though, the Nokia N78 backs up the great music player with great hardware. The phone features a 3.5mm headphone jack to use any headphones you like. For drivers, there's also an FM transmitter on board to broadcast directly to your car radio. AWESOME!<br /><br /><b>Scheduling and productivity - Very good</b><br /><br />The scheduling and productivity apps on the smartphone are a nice bonus feature of using a mature smartphone OS like Symbian S60. The phone gets a QuickOffice suite for viewing Office documents, and the calendar app did a nice job of synchronizing our appointments from our Outlook calendar. Somehow, it is not bundled originally and I have to installed it myself.<br /><br /><b>Camera - Good</b><br /><br />The Carl Zeiss optics on the Nokia N78 set it apart from most phone manufacturers, for whom the lens is an afterthought. Unfortunately, even with the impressive optics, the 3.2-megapixel sensor and the auto focus, the N78 produced images that were sub-par. Compared to other phones I've seen, these looked great, but I don't really care as I'm a dslr user. Videos were even worse, even though the phone can record VGA-resolution videos. Under the best conditions, pictures were okay. I even found the scroll wheel to be useful in browsing image gallery.<br /><br /><b>Web browsing - Good</b><br /><br />Nokia N-series devices have always included one of the best Web browsers on the phone market, but the Nokia N78 backs up this browser with powerful hardware, making for a silky smooth browsing experience. I wasn't blown away by the page loading speeds, even over the wlan. But once pages were loaded, the browser handled them with aplomb, huge megabytes. Layout was merely small, and the browser scrolled through log pages quickly, using the app's mini map as a guide. Going back and forth through the browser history was also a cinch with the page snapshots that the browser keeps in memory.</span><span class="s_t"><br /></span><span class="s_t"><br /><b>Built in GPS system - Very very good</b></span><br /><br />The built in works like a charm. Although a GPS system on any mobile phone will never beat a standalone GPS system, I really like the GPS system on the N78 called Garmin Mobile XT. Some of you may doubt "Do I need to pay in order to use the gps?" I have the hacked version and it is totally free. The signal receive is from satelite, it doesn't have anything to do with the telco and nokia. The Malaysia maps are accurate and quite detailed in respect to landmarks and points of interest. I don’t even need to refer to the manual to operate it. I find it hard to search for the location I wanted to go but it is useful to search the place by criteria for example food & beverages ---> Asian/western/barbeque/and many choices, it will shows you the nearby restaurant and even coffee shop then the voice navigation will then guide you to your destination. It’s really useful to have a pocketable navigation system that you can use anytime.<br /><br /><span class="s_t"><b>Price and availability - Worth every penny</b><br /><br />Guess what?
